Why Dan is Running

Dan believes it’s time to get back to basics and prioritize core infrastructure needs and other essential services before taking on nice-to-have projects that come with new debt and higher long-term maintenance costs.

With his financial expertise, leadership experience, and commitment to community service, Dan is ready to put Residents First and return fiscal responsibility as the cornerstone of Rochester City Council.

Richard Kendziuk

Candidate for Rochester City Council

Rich Kendziuk is a dedicated Rochester resident with a proven record of community leadership, responsible budgeting, and infrastructure improvements. A widower who was married for 30 years and a proud father of two grown sons, Rich is driven by a desire to preserve and enhance the quality of life for Rochester families—both now and for generations to come.

Rich currently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Rochester, where he plays an active role in shaping thoughtful, sustainable development that reflects the needs and values of local residents. He also contributed to the 2022 Master Plan Steering Committee and participated in subcommittees focused on housing, community sustainability, and public safety.

15

Years Serving Rochester Residents

A longtime Homeowners Association leader, Rich brings unmatched experience in project management and cost control. As Vice President of the Stony Creek Ridge Homeowners Association since 2012, he’s managed major environmental restoration projects, introduced green energy solutions like LED street lighting (which cut energy use by 68%), and helped deliver a comprehensive 7-year, $670,000 infrastructure plan—all while keeping budgets balanced and costs contained.

Rich also transformed neglected land into a vibrant park-like space, leading grant-funded tree plantings and hands-on community collaboration. His financial stewardship is clear: in 2025, the HOA’s infrastructure and landscaping budget increased only 2% from 2012 levels, all while providing more services than ever.

Professionally, Rich is a versatile business leader, having run his own company and served as a successful sales director for a Fortune 10 corporation. He understands both small business challenges and large-scale operational strategy—skills he’s ready to bring to City Council.

Why Rich is Running

Rich believes that Rochester deserves leaders who listen, plan responsibly, and act in the best interest of its residents—not outside developers or special projects that drain the city’s resources. He’s seen firsthand how careful financial planning and community engagement can create lasting, meaningful results.

With a deep understanding of infrastructure, sustainability, and fiscal responsibility, Rich is ready to help guide Rochester through its next chapter—one that puts Residents First.

Our Mission

To put Residents First by restoring fiscal responsibility, rebuilding our core infrastructure, and making
city government accountable to the people it serves.

Rochester is a strong community facing real challenges. From crumbling sidewalks and aging storm sewers to rising traffic concerns and budgetary strain, residents are being asked to shoulder too much—while city leadership prioritizes costly, nonessential projects.

We’re running to put Residents First by:

Rebuilding Rochester’s Core Infrastructure

Prioritizing repairs to sidewalks, storm sewers, and roads before taking on costly “nice-to-have” projects.

Restoring Fiscal Responsibility

Managing your tax dollars with care, cutting waste, and focusing on what truly matters.

Making Local Government Accountable

Increasing transparency, listening to residents, and ensuring every voice is heard.

Supporting Responsible Development

Encouraging growth that fits Rochester’s character and serves the people who live here.

Fighting Blight, Preserving Neighborhoods

Enforcing standards, improving neglected properties, and protecting home values.

Their mission is to ensure that development is thoughtful, services are equitably distributed, and every tax dollar is spent with care. Through greater transparency, community involvement, and a renewed focus on what matters most, they’ll work to make Rochester a safer, stronger, and more sustainable city for all.
